Growing up, music was the only thing I felt was real. It was the place that it was safe to cry, or yell, or say how I really felt. Growing up as a preacher's daughter moving all the time, songwriting became an escape to make up for all the smiles I had to constantly put on for a show...even when my heart was hurting. I hope that my music can help you feel hope and that you matter...and to know you are not alone.

When I was younger I used to dream to get to see behind-the-scenes on my favorite singers and musicians. People like Sarah McLachlan, Aretha Franklin, and Joni Mitchell. Since we now live in such a digital age, I do share some impromptu moments on-the-go.
